5 kid-approved lunches
Autumn is an exciting time if you're a parent. School starts back and you can finally stop stressing over midday play dates. But there is one thing that shouldn't be part of the old routine...a boring lunch.
We've looked to some of our favorite blogs to share five plant-based meals that kids will actually eat:
1. Macaroni and Cheese
Veestro's Baked Mac n' Cheez is gooey and cheesy, with oodles of noodles.
2. Sushi
Cocoon Cooks' vegan sushi rolls are bite-sized and colorful, so kids will love eating them with their hands. Take the opportunity to load up on veggies, like cucumber, sweet potato, and asparagus.
3. Chia Pudding
Most children will agree that if a dish doesn't look good, they're not eating it. The Worktop's Overnight Chia Seed Pudding is berry-topped perfection in a jar. Bonus: the creamy texture and hint of sweetness will taste more like dessert than lunch.
4. Peanut Butter and Jelly
A new spin on an American classic, Cook With Manali has updated the peanut butter and jelly sandwich into bar form. Forget store-bought jam with tons of sugar. This recipe encourages fresh berry puree and a lot of homemade love.
5. Pizza
Let your little ones taste the veggie rainbow with this bright black bean and hummus pizza by Rainbow In My Kitchen. Have them join in on the fun by adding their favorite greens and lentils.
